The app that I really wanted, a GPS app that gives yardages on the golf course, is worthless. I carry it in my pocket on the course and all that rubbing makes the damned thing think I'm touching it so it's all screwed up when I take it out of my pocket and I have to fiddle with it for 5 minutes on every shot before I get the yardage. I could have paced it off by that time. I tried turning it off between shots, but that takes even longer. I'll get a Garmin like most other golfers.
Andy and I have a golf buddy and we really like it. There are no subscription fees and you can download updates from their site.
