You mentioned that the usage of ODBC would be recommended. The developer tried with the ODBC driver 32 bits. This works, but, of course, we have force the project to compile in 32 bits. He confirmed he uses the latest version. He then tried with the ODBC driver 64 bits. This one only supports "Microsoft Access Driver" and "Microsoft Excel Driver" to access the data and not "DBase IV", which is the DBF we are trying to update. So, we cannot use the ODBC driver 64 bits.

So, what would you recommend?

1. Keep the OleDB 64 bits driver we have so we can compile in 64 bits, but as you said, this one will be discontinued soon
2. Use the ODBC 32 bits driver and force the project to compile in 32 bits

Item 2 would then assume in hope that the ODBC 64 bits version would soon support DBase IV but that is probably a no go. So, we are facing a situation of discountinued support.

Any feedback on the best approach so we can avoid this crisis situation on the long run would be appreciated.
