I'm having problems determining if the InstallShield package works on another version of Windows. Unfortunately, when I try to Unregister the dll in Windows XP (regsvr32 /u xicr50.dll) I get the error "LoadLibray("xicr50.dll") failed - Invalid access to memory location". I will try to find a clean computer to install on, but that may be difficult.

I run the IS package as an administrator and under the Administrator command prompt in Windows 8 64 bit. No other libraries are being used in VFP. I'm currently trying to register the cryptor dll using VFP 8, but I do have a version of VFP 9 that I could try. We haven't upgraded our production application to VFP 9. I'd have to install it on the Windows 8 machine.

I've played with all of the DEP settings. It's a little different than previous windows versions. I currently have checked "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:". I have to manually enter "xicr50.dll" in the Add.. dialog as it only allows you to choose files of type exe. In previous windows versions we would turn DEP off at the command prompt using the AlwaysOff parameter, but that doesn't seem to work in Windows 8.

As of right now, I have an InstallShield package that successfully installs xicr50.dll. This one uses our DLL with ".xitech" changed to ".aspack" in the header. With this installed, I can't register the VFP tables. I get the following error in VFP "OLE exception error: Exception code c00000fd. OLE object may be corrupt". This is occurs on the "locryptor.watchdll("VFP8.EXE")" statement in my startup.
