The “NEWS” has changed over the years. In Kindergarten our Catholic Nun teacher told us, “News means information from north, east, west and south”. We had her again in the third grade. That is when she conditioned us to always communicate, who, what, when, how, and why.

There was a time that you would receive news on the radio or television. News consisted of something that happened, no speculation or rationalization. Today the weather person cannot tell you what the days high temperature was but can predict the next seven days high and low temperatures.

Panels of “experts” are hired to give color to any story. The major networks call in the staff Sunday night and state that “the following three to five stories will be emphasized”. Only “breaking news” can change that. Reporters are sent here and there to cover the news. Programs are interrupted with breaking news, and now a word from our sponsor.

News is sensationalized trivia that sells product. It is not meant to inform the public. On August 12, 2010 I quit watching CNN, FOX, etc. At one time I would watch the BBC, Russian and German news sources. They have changed also and that is life. Keep those ratings up. Informing the public about reality is a thing of the past. Now we are being conditioned with garbage and it is having an obvious effect on peoples mental state.



>So last night I decided that I would catch up on world events a little and watch some CNN. I get 2 different CNN channels at home, along with MSNBC and Fox News.

>So I turn on CNN 1 and there are 6 people on the screen with serious looks on their faces all yak yak yaking about the psycho Ohio kidnapping guy. Turn to CNN2 - they have 5 people on the screen all yak yak yaking about the same thing. Switch to MSNBC news - the liberal news outlet - and they only have 4 people on the screen (sitting on a couch, not in bunch of little boxes) - yak yaking about the same thing. In move of desperation - I turn to Fox News (the conservative news outlet) and they have only 2 or 3 people on the screen yak yak yaking from various related "live locations" on this same damn story. I spent the next 30 minutes bouncing between all 4 channels ...and got nothing but this crap. So WTF they have psychologist they interview that's never even met the person and all this "deep analysis" crap and some "in depth" coverage about a guy who's mother's sister's ex boyfriend's aunt bought a cat from a guy that used to live next door to the guy when he was 6... do people really sit around and watch this crap? When the Boston bomb thing was going on CNN has clowns with 'breaking news' of a dog barking in the distance and plus I've had to put up with this stupid Jodi Arias trial for months listing to stupid little old lady's call in and say what they think abou the case - like I care what some uneducated old woman thinks about some murder case she has zero involvment in. My only option was to wait for my evening LOCAL news to come on and see the 5 minutes of international news they talk about - which sadly was 5 more minutes than I got after watching 30minutes of 4 full-time news organizations.
