Thanks Craig. I only have one laptop and don't want to move from Vista to 8 in case it messes up programs etc. Ive a few big projects on and can't afford the down time of rebuilding etc. We have another laptop in work with 8 on I so I might just play with that one of the days it's not in use.
I've nothing against the 8 interface for tablets, it does' tickle my fancy on desktop but that may be the tight security on he site where I work on it. I do like phone 8 which is why I moved from android and I just want to make a few simple apps to dip my toe in.

>Blue won't be a significant change. It's an incremental update. And will be free current Win8 users. http://www.zdnet.com/microsoft-confirms-blue-to-be-free-for-existing-windows-8-users-7000015358/

>>From what I've read the Blue update will change key aspects of the software and I'd like to know exactly what they are before I take the plunge as it's going to be a one way trip. I use 2012 on a customers server and don't like the metro interface (sorry I don't know the new name) on the desktop, much prefer the standard windows interface.
>>I think the interface is great on my phone, prefer it to my old Android, although some big bugs with contacts that have annoyed me.
