If it has an Express Card slot, you can get 3-8 times better throughput on copy tasks with really cheap USB3 twin adapter.
Have one and am glad whenever a copy task becomes large. Extensions .vhd or .vdi for instance ;-)
>might check this potion out, but will depend on cost of 8 then. I have a 4-5 year old xps so a fast machine, but only usb2. I do have a spare external hard drive I could use as a bootable so that might work.
