The parameter is restated before the delete. The base table is not included in the DE and is implicitly unbuffered.(I even tried it with a tableupdate of the base table which gave me the 'no buffering' error message)
I still think this has something to do with the fact that these are multi-table views even though only one table in the view is updateable. I cannot replicate this behavior on a single table view.
My faith is beginning to be challenged...
