>>>For many years Beck's has been advertising on United States television that it is Germany's number 1 export beer. I have not seen an ad since 2011 on that topic but the internet is not really the source of all knowledge. :) The ad refered to selling the bottled beer around the world, and they claimed to sell more than any other German beer outside of Germany.

>>It might be true: the #1 is a brewery most famous for not advertizing and being not the priciest, to spin it positive. Clearly not as bad as some brands going only for price in cheapo outlets and clearly giving more value per price than most others. Some types of beer said to be not much worse than top brands (say 85% of "value" for 30-50% of price), and I dislike the idea of supporting some kinds of advertizing by drinking some premium brands as much as Dragan ;-) OTOH with digestibles and wearables my buying decision is geared to "do I want this" and price/value being rather low in decision hierarchy, which is different from my processing for other types of things. So typically my few € invested in beer support the advertizing of one of a short list of beers picked from those sold at the bar/restaurant or currently discounted at the supermarket. Keeps tastebuds in the loop and the illusion of self being in charge alive ;-)

>>I am with you a lot - see above. OTOH after being in different climate and "tasting" zone for more than 14 days I am sometimes astonished at the things I can/want to consume - drinking local spanish beer if nothing else if available and body wants beer at that day is... astonishing ;-)

My brother and I have the same attitude (and taste) in beer and alcohol in general. If you are going to drink a toxin drink one the tastes good and that you enjoy! :) Another rule is to never drink too much. One or two a day is fine and more can be a problem.
