I remember a handful of years ago TurboTax changed their interface so much that it was just horrible - and the next year they went back to a similar interface from prior years. Over the last few years they have stayed with almost the same interface - which allows me to get through that big day doing taxes. Just an example of what I talking about.

Actually, this one is interesting. Isn't this was Microsoft has done, in similar ways, with Windows 8 and this metro interface, following the trend of smart phones, making it look like Windows 3? Basically, all those fancy icons, bevel and inset buttons and so on are now gone makes it look like we are going back 20 years ago.
