Only it the tablet is running full Windows 8. If it's running Windows RT, VFP apps won't run.

>Thinking a little bit further, I believe a Windows 8 Pro tablet would run VFP applications without problems? So using the GSM network they can connect to the client server database and no further changes or licenses would be required to do that. And the clients would not need to learn a new user interface either.
