If you are talking about changing the parent of a grid class so that all the Properties and Methods sudenly appear in the grid on the form you are using, the only way I know of is to hack the SCX file directly (after making suitable copies of course). Use the SCX and Browse it and locate the lass you want in the MEMO Class field and then change the Parent Class and Clas And Class Location as appropriate.

If you are talking about adding custom text boxes to a column, just edit that colum and drop them in from the toolbar. Your information was sketchy so I HTH.
