Undoing as much of this thread as I can, upon request. We do not need so much drama and I do not want to be part of it.

It's much more pleasant talking about the Blackhawks. Have you been watching? I really like this team and would be cheering for them even if they weren't my team to begin with. They skate with a fluidity that is beautiful to watch. And it's all for one and one for all. The Red Wings succeeded in stymieing some of the Hawks stars and some guys from the bottom of the roster stepped up. Chicagoland has become familiar with Michal Handzus, Bryan Bickell, and Johnny Aduya, among others. Aduya has been stellar on the penalty killing team. He has done some long PK shifts with his tongue hanging out. Bickell's contract is up and he is going to get rich as a free agent. When the team goes this far you can't afford to pay everyone under a salary cap system.

I joke with my younger daughter, who watched the game last Saturday with me, that I put the Hawks in a 3-1 hole by not wearing the lucky Jonathan Toews jersey. I have been wearing it since and will keep wearing it until the Blackhawks win the Cup or it rots off the doorknob. I only own two pieces of sports attire (a Pat Tillman jersey is the other) and I am going to keep wearing it.

All tribute to the Red Wings. They had to win their last four regular season games just to get into the playoffs and pushed the league's top team right to the brink. I now have a second favorite hockey team.
