>This one never crossed my mind but I just thought of it in regards to a support I need to add in an application. My data class supports all kind of exports. I can export to Excel, Word and even MHTML. So, this is good for a certain number of records such as a few thousands. But, going to export 100,000 thousands of records, even in Excel, that wouldn't that much appropriate to allow the end users to manipulate the data. The end users in our case are super users. They have Access, DBase IV and so on. So, from .NET, from a dataset, what would be the simplest way to also be able to export all that into a DBF? In specific options, it would be nice to offer that. So, I thought I could add that support as well.
I wrote a C# module that saves any datable to a back end table with the same structure as source the data table.
It builds an INSERT command, column by column, and executes it row by row.
In case of a dbf the insert command would use OLEDB.
There might be a simpler way, but if you can't find another, that module was pretty simple to develop.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
