>My new indulgence, a healthy one, is a juicer. I have been subsisting largely on pulverized fruit and vegetables. Plus yogurt and grilled fish. (OK, some grilled beef also. It's a process). It is a lesson in prepared foods. Juiced tomatoes are way less red and salty than the store brands.
Do you let your tomatoes ripen up a bit before you use them.
We never keep them in the fridge. A sunny window sill for a week after buying them makes a lot of difference.
The only thing I mind about juicers is the waste always seems wasted (so to speak). Our refuse collection do vegetable leftovers so it goes in there.
