Is this on local drive or across a network?
If accessing on network, make sure you're using mapped drive rather than UNC path (FPD and FPW don't work correctly with UNC paths).
If this is on a network, is the XP workstation running Home or Professional edition?
Have you checked the access permissions on the folders as well as files involved?
