Probably can be tweaked, but the need for tweaking IMO shows there might be better ways. Unless security raises its head (which it does often....) I'd just use either (S)FTP or HTTP - they were built for that. Intermingle security info gained via WS if neccessary. Or send the PDF via email to a specced mail alias - secure and you have logging taken care of.
