>>>But I must say that a Baptist would never say that "God is in everyone and everything".
>>
>>I think a Christian would say this.
>>
>>Why? Because God is literally in everything. He is always there. The rocks do not move because God commanded them to hold fast. The water comes no closer to the shore than it does because God commanded it to hold fast. Each person was knit together in their mother's womb by God, who knew that person before He did this. And we are told in scripture that Jesus "Stands at the door and knocks, and he who opens the door, Jesus will come in and sup with them, and they with He." And there is the fundamental aspect of God speaking the universe into existence, that there are no Maverick molecules anywhere, but that all do exactly as He commanded.
>>
>>God is in everyone and everything most definitely. :-)

>But you still need a source of information, otherwise it's just a matter of speculation. How do you know
>that Jesus said those words that you quoted?

Because His words are Spirit and they are Life. They are eternal. They are of God. They are Truth.

God's Holy Spirit confirms in each man (in both those who are born again, and in those who are not born again) that those words are true. In his inmost man, his inmost heart, in his "soul", every human being knows the words of Jesus Christ are True. It's God's eternal signature on His greatest masterpiece: man, made in the very image of God.

>What I am trying to say is, that the Bible is the only source of teaching that we can rely upon, everything else is just opinion or speculation. And coming back to the original issue, the Bible is in fact very discriminatory, this is a fundamental part of the Christian faith, to discriminate between right and wrong. Protagoras said "Man is the measure of all things." But the Bible says that God himself is the measure of all things. Man prefers to have a low standard, so he can lift himself up without too much force and proclaim how good he is.

>Many things that are today common practice would have been unimaginable just a few years ago. I'm telling you, in a few years down the road, you will have child offenders living their sexual preference and you are not allowed to judge them, because that would be discrimination.

Those who are willing to seek the truth, and pursue it, will find the Truth. That's a promise by God. To everyone else, they will be blinded by reason, blinded by doctrine, blinded by philosophy, blinded by doubt, blinded by things which seem to be so very true and right unto the man, but are in fact completely wrong. Proverbs 14:12, 16:25.

It is God who knows each man. And it is God who saves those men who will pursue Truth, who will follow His Son (Jesus literally being Truth).

There has never been one soul lost anywhere that would hear the Truth, and pursue it. All who will follow the Truth find the Truth, because God sees straight through to the heart and (thankfully) it is not dependent upon the man to save himself. It is an act of God. A miracle. Being born again Spiritually. And for those who are called, and answer, and are of a true heart in that regard, their lives were from the beginning never left to their own choices, nor their own devices, nor their own doings, nor their own anything beyond allowance by God through Love of the man's wishes. In all, and through all, and of all, it was God Himself who has intervened throughout, leading that man continually to the Truth to the degree in which he would pursue it. And it is the same for all men.

God really is in control. Of all.
