Great advice, Ed! I'd forgotten about ZAK. I shall have to go look it up now and refresh my memory on its capabilities. Your thinking parallels mine and now gives me more arguments to use against the idea. Our analysis also indicated he wouldn't save any money but the other guy's figures show he will - surprise, surpise, surprise - so naturally he is quite confused at this point. Fun isn't it - I just love consulting *BG*. Thanks again.

>There are infinitely easier and better solutions to control of the desktop than thin client; the Microsoft Zero Administration Kit, in conjunction with user profiles, can limit what can be put on the desktop, and what the user cna do as far as accessing applications or adding things to a system. NT is not a requirement for use of ZAK; you should probably go out to Microsoft's web site and investigate it further.
