We've got crossed wires somewhere. This sub-thread has nothing to do with WebApi - just about looking at a MVC View using Page Inspector.....

then used the 'Add View' to create Junk.cshtml in the relevant Views folder. Selected the view and used 'View In Page Inspector'. Worked right away. VS2012 running as Admin
