Much of the look is controlled by css and the user could change that to be just about anything. It would be a waste of money for control vendors to spend a lot of time with controls. In the end, you tell the browser to display an input box and that's what you get. From there, the look is all done via css. It isn't like the desktop where you can completely replace a control.
>I guess the only hope you would have with third party controls is that if they are sold to a larger market, a part of the revenue would be spent by those companies to make the controls work well on a larger range of browsers. We, on the other hand, have not the budget or time to invest in trying to make it work on any thinkable browser, or if we would, the application would become much more expensive, which would jeopardize your market position.
