There is nothing wrong with going that way. That is the essence of CSS / JavaScript / jQuery. I don't know enough about bootstrap.js to make a counterargument. It did make a big impression on me that Rick Strahl recommended it, saying it was better than what he was trying to build himself. It does not have immediate practical use for me but it is on my To Do list to learn more.
