I can still see how that would be a problem for a lot of people - now you have to type where as before all you had to do was click.

>Yes, you can.. but again, it's DIFFERENT. People don't think about. When our VP of IT got his first WIn8 PC, he HATED Win8, wiped it and installed Win7. Then he got a new PC at work that's a convertible tablet/laptop. He was complaining about Metro. I told him (again) to just go to the Start Screen and type the name of the program. When I checked back with him two weeks later, he said, "Win8 is great. What you told me about typing makes all the difference. And I know you can do that in Win7 too, it just never occurred to me to try it here."

>>But it still sounds very very simple to me. If you want desktop - click the dang desktop Metro button. The nesting thing sounds like a pain in the neck though - but isn't is possible to move those metro tiles around to whatever order to want them in? If so then that shouldn't be too big of a deal either. Frankly the only valid complaint I hear (too me anyway) is the fact that the start button is gone from the desktop - and I guess they added it back in 8.1 but still didn't do it right as it doesn't show 'all programs' - kinda a blunder if you ask me as that was the complaint...

>My girlfriend's sister lives there. It's way off the tourist areas and not near the drug dealers. No major highways in their area. We'll be ok.

Based on what I've heard it doesn't really matter where you're at. There is a band called Chicago that I'm friends with - they were here in Hawaii a few months ago told me a great story about their last trip to Mexico - there in in 3 white vans traveling and got stopped by a whole bunch of folks with automatic weapons. As it turned out they were looking for some escapees - that were in 3 white vans...haha. It all ended well but they were lucky they all didn't get shot right then and there. Anyway I hope you have a good time & stay safe :)

>>Mexico? Geeze don't get shot or kidnapped!
