I read about this over the weekend. Reminds me of a time in the mid 1990's when I was sitting in my car in a 7-11 parking lot eating a hotdog and had a whole swarm of cops pop out of nowhere with guns drawn pointed right at me - they were all screaming "get out - freeze - get out - dont move" - conflicting requests of course. Pointing this out to them resulted in being yanked from my running car (which then rolled into 2 cops cars) and being taken to the ground. A few minutes later I got the "ok you can go" - wrong person and they left. Did they apologize? Fix the $800 damage to my car? Get me another hotdog? hell no they got pissed at me for saying "well make up yer damn mind - do you want me to freeze, or get out of the car? " when they yelling at me saying "freeze, get out". Yeah its scary crap when someone is jumping on hood of yer car pointing a gun at your face saying stuff that makes no sense. At least in my case I wasn't falsely arrested - just freaked out of a good hour afterwards. I've often wondered of cops are taught to give conflicting instructions like that when ambushing someone. Rather risky stunt if you ask me.
