That's only on the front lines when they're under fire by enemies. My usage would be more along the lines of peaceful missions. Shipping. Passenger ferry. Diplomatic envoys. For example, I would today fly to Russia, pick up Snowden, and offer him asylum in my Runabout, named Peace.

Plus, as a software developer, such a vehicle would be just about the best software development office. A customer has an issue, I just fly over to their office, fix it, and then fly back. And isn't it just too bad we don't have something like LCARS? Instead we're stuck with Aero, Unity, Metro, Gnome or some other similar UI. I think LCARS could be adapted to be well-suited for human minds and fingers. :-)
