I finished rewatching the first season of The Sopranos and am back to rewatching the first season of the Mary Tyler Moore show. Both TV classics, just impossibly different. Probably they were just products of their times.

It's probably a fair comment that every American male with a pulse in the 1970s wanted to sleep with Mary Tyler Moore. And not in twin beds. It could not be made explicit at the time but the MTM show strongly hinted that she enjoyed occasional premarital sex. That couldn't be put on the air, it was just hinted. Today it seems pretty tame but at the time it was groundbreaking.
