Thanks for the info Robert. Your finding was MSDN Article ID: Q168393. It was regarding the failure to create an VFP 5.0 exe. This bug was fixed in VFP 5.0a.

My OLE Word 97 problems are in a corruption in the Word.Document object which is not consistent.
