It's because I believe and trust in God. Jesus said (John 14:6), "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me."

It's the idea of the rebirth, of making a dead person alive (spiritually, eternally). It's an act of God, and nothing the person can do on their own (for they are already dead).
