>>>>>>Yeah whatever dude. It's not the first time you've pulled the cop out with me when the discussion got difficult. The plain simple truth here is that you're stance towards gays and lesbians is discriminatory and bigoted. You can attempt to justify it with our religion all you want but that doesn't change the facts does it? If you don't want to admit then fine. If you think such behavior is acceptable in this day & age then you got a problem.

>>>Yeah but your're not saying that short blonds are an abomination and don't deserve the same rights as everyone just because they're short and blonde are you? Hardly the same thing.

>>Wait for Jos's regular dose of relativization. You'll see that these only seem different, but are substantially the same. They seem different to you because that's how they look in your view of the world.

>If by “relativization” you mean to imply that I believe everything is subjectively relative and therefore OK then you are mistaken. If I believed this then I would simply say those words and be done with it. I have not said anything to the effect that the above two statements in Victor’s examples of discrimination are the same or equally valid and acceptable depending on one’s worldview. I also did not realize that I was offering a “regular dose” of anything but, apologies and I shall forthwith stop them just in case they are.

So depending upon one's world view it's discrimination or not. That is re-defining (or at least defeating the purpose of) the word discrimination. Of course that is the core of the whole argument - I think it's discrimination and he does not. I'm looking at it from a social aspect in year 2013 - he is not. Thus we both think we're right. Needless to say since we don't all live in fantasy land I'm the one that's right...hahaha
