Mike, it's really not about people bothering me as much as it is about just eating my time up.

I have a tendancy to read every thread that I see here at the UT, as it helps me learn stuff about programming, perhaps helping someone who needs help, etc. So, since I activated the chatter a few days ago, I noticed I had the same habit with that and that was really taking up time.

So, back to the way I was a few days ago - reading all the other stuff at UT that I have done for the last 10 or so years but not the general chatter.

>>Well, chatter is just not for me - after a few days I can see I can't handle it. I actually find myself reading stuff I have no interest in, and a time or two even commenting. On stuff I have an interest in, I find myself really thinking about it, reading every thread with interest on it, etc., etc.

>>At other times I am annoyed and think this or that person must be from the moon with their views. However, I know it's becaues it is such a vast community here and there is difference of opinion about everything (probably even what is the defination of the color of red or blue).
>>
>>But, the big thing that really is an issue for me personally is I am busy and find this sucking up my time. It's my own fault - but I can't let it interfer with my regular work and stuff that I need to get done.

>>Soooooooooo - Goodbye Mr. Chat feature - I gonna uncheck you at this point....:) and kick you down the road.

>Sorry to hear that, Mel. If it was just a matter of certain people getting under your skin you could skip reading their posts or even twit filter them. But I hear what you're saying about it interfering with your work.
