As far as an Informix ODBC driver, I believe Intersolv is the
best place to get them. I say them because they have both
a 16-bit Windows version and a 32-bit Windows version.

Don't look for an address on Q+E. They were bought out by
Intersolv a couple of years ago. Go to URL:
http://www.intersolv.com . They refer to their stuff as
DataDirect in case you get confused looking at all of
their products. I did. <g>

Another source would be Informix themselves. They market
a package called INFORMIX-CLI that includes both their
proprietary software (which you will need) and the proper
ODBC driver(s). I have this on order right now myself. (I
also have the Intersolv DataDirect ODBC Driver Pack that
includes everything but the kitchen sink as far as all of
the popular databases are concerned. <vbg>)

Back to that part you'll need despite whose ODBC driver
you get. It's called Informix-Net or more popularly I-Net.
Even Oracle has their SQL*Net. It's just a piece of database
communications software that's required on the Windows
client.

The Informix-CLI product is $295, I believe. The Intersolv
ODBC driver, which is probably in the Informix-CLI package
anyway, is about $99 from Intersolv. The whole pack
obviously costs more, but I don't know the price as I bought
and upgraded from Q+E years ago and now through Intersolv.

Hope this helps!!!
