I wrote a replacement menu editor for VFP that does not have the annoyance. Also, more capabilities in developing the menu... If interested let me know and I will post the project for you. There are several Active-X dlls required for supporting the editor. Also, note that the MNX file is completely rewritten by this editor as the order of the records is very specific to each menu pad and item in the MNX file.
