It was John Cleese who said there are three reasons England is better than the United States:

1) We speak English.
2) When you meet the head of state you only have to get down on one knee. (This was said during the Clinton presidency).
3) When we hold a world championship we actually invite the rest of the world.

Re soccer, I am not telling you what to do (what good would that do? LOL) but maybe you should give it another shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. It is a much more elegant and physically demanding game than American football. In the 60 minutes of play in an American football game the ball is in play for about 12 minutes. Substitutions occur on almost every play. In the 90 minutes of a soccer match play is rarely interrupted within the 90 minutes and you only have limited substitutions. Once a player is substituted for he cannot return. And the whole thing is over an hour sooner.
