Wasn't he staying in the neighborhood, less than a block from where he was killed? Maybe he knew about all the robberies and thought that Zimmerman was acting suspicious and following him so he acted, who knows, I know is not a nice feeling when you see someone following you at night, but again, I do not know what happened nor I am trying to defend one or another.
