>God never paid my bills. As soon as god pays all my bills I'll
>work for free for anyone that needs my services.

God gave you your arms. Your legs. Your mouth. Your eyes. Your stomach. Your fingers. Your hair. Your mind. He brought you into the world, moving you to where you are now instead of someplace else. He knew the circumstances of your life, what would lead you into this, that, or the other thing. And He has an active role in your daily life. He has prevented cars from crashing into you, or other bad things from happening to you. He's affected your path by introducing blocks in your or other people's paths, and this throughout your entire life. He has come to your aid in circumstances which would've harmed His plans for you. He has moved continually in the best interests of you with regards to the variables introduced in this world by all the people acting in sin. And He's done this for everybody.

God is continually working in your life. It is called "common grace" that He provides the rain, the sun, the air, the food, everything, in abundance and sufficient for all to have, including the many merits of their life, the opportunities to grow.

It is only men acting through sin which cause harm to other people. It is not God, nor a lack of God's ability to act on our behalf. He is letting each of us choose the paths we will take. He is there to guide and answer questions as through studying the Bible, and prayer, and fellowship between believers who come to Him seeking guidance. He has this active role, giving every one of us the opportunity to come to Him. Yet through sin so many people see this as "just life" or "just the way things unfurl" never seeing that it was God all along.

God pays all of your bills. God has paid all of your bills throughout the entirety of your life. He's provided you with everything that exists which allows you to move. What is special and unique is the creation God made that exists inside of that system He also created. He's trying to grow people up to receive Him as He is, that the recognition of what He has done, who He is, what He has in mind for eternity ... that these things will become prevalent in our mind, the focus of our lives.

It's in The Lord's prayer:
"...Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven..."

The Bible is a work of love describing our relationship to God, the reality of the nature of disobedience through sin, which indicates the excessively harmful nature of sin. It is a cancer which can only be defeated by turning away from it and focusing on God, who continually guides all of us toward righteousness, toward eternity, toward His Son who is literal Truth (we think of truth as a concept, but Jesus is Truth, literally. He is, right now, continually, upholding the entirety of the universe by the power of His word, which is Truth, which is His essence, His being. Were He not perfect and True, nothing would exist).

>Life is a lot more complicated than that.

No. It isn't.

People make it more complicated because they believe they understand things. They listen to the enemy's voice instead of God. And that enemy is lying continually, drawing people away through lusts of the sinful flesh, attempting to use our limited reasoning abilities in the flesh (not being able to see or know the deep things of God, of eternity, but rather only what our eyes tell us exists), and all of it is a following after that which we presume we know, rather than from a "trusting in God through faith" walk, which would have us living as He would have us live.

Sin is the enemy. Satan uses sin against us, and he is God's enemy, and therefore our enemy as well. Sin can be overcome by submission to Jesus Christ, by Him coming into your life and fighting those enemies for you. We (Christians) become servants of God, and it is God then who operates on our behalf. We (Christians) have no ability to fight off Satan (or the draws of the sinful flesh even) by ourself, but only in turning to God can we do this, because it is not us doing this, but it is God doing it.

It requires constant prayer, constant vigilance, and I do mean every waking hour, every waking minute, that everything we do in our lives is handed over to God so that He might work in our lives in that way. It is a complete life's change from the non-believer to the believer, which is why it can only happen to those people who are born again. When they are born again they are forever changed internally, which then manifests itself externally by the actions and deeds we have in our lives. This does not mean we don't stumble. We're still "glued" to this sinful flesh which is at constant war (literally) against God's spirit. And there are times of weakness for all saints. But the continued purpose, the one which is from within that drives us, is that focus on God, and on doing what He would have us do in our lives.

You could possibly understand this part of it by a comparison: A person wants to be an athlete in the olympics. They train, and train, and train, but they are just too slow to make the cut. They can give up, or they can press on. Everything around them is telling them they cannot do it, yet through a force of will they continue to press on and maybe they make it, maybe they don't (into the olympics), but they did not stop when all outward evidence indicated they were not fast enough, strong enough, or whatever.

For Christians it is similar. But instead of it being our will that keeps us going, it is the born again nature that is continuously pursuing God from within. We might be weak. We might be tired. We might want to go and do some sinful thing. But our new nature is always there tapping us on the shoulder, reminding us that this thing we're wanting to do, or doing, is not something God wants us to do at all. And we hear His voice loud and clear and we have no peace until we turn away from the sinful thing and walk back on the straight and narrow.

God is very patient with us in this regard and He knows our true heart, that we are in this sinful world. We also remember from scripture the story of Lot, a righteous man living in the midst of sin (in/near Sodom and Gomorrah). God sent for him (Lot), to grab him by the hand and drag him out of that quagmire before the destruction came.

God knows who are His, and He knows how to rescue them from the most vile of circumstances. He imposed blindness upon all the evil men outside of Lot's house in this case, for example. And He can do far more than that.

God is real.
God's call for us to live for Him is real.
And God will provide for all of those who seek after Him doing what He said, because it is His promise and God cannot lie.
We walk by faith trusting in Him, and we watch Him work around us.
It comes at the point of failure, at the point where if we continue pushing on (through faith) it seems like all will be lost. Only then have we been tried and proven to be truly walking in faith.

This thing I am telling you about with regards to releasing all source code, yet being paid for your labor ... it is real. It is something that has not occurred to me for more than a couple of years. It is not something I have fully implemented in my regular daily job, as I am currently working for a company (since Feb, 2012) that has hired me for my labor, yet does not release the source code (though they have allowed me to replicate the work I do for them independently through new source code writings which mimic or reproduce the functionality of the code I designed for them).

My life is moving toward this manner of life and living. It is the LibSF App Home design (see http://www.libsf.org/projects/ ), and it is the entirety of Visual FreePro, its virtual machine, Exodus, Armodus, and any other products I am able to create in support of those endeavors.

I am moving to put into place all of these things. Some are in place. Many are partly in place. And I am moving to put all of them fully in place. What I encounter is the mindset you represent here: "The 'real world' isn't like that." "It can't be done." "It would be nice if things worked that way, but..."

It does work that way. It is a promise from God. And I have faith to trust in Him.

If you begin listening at around 30 minutes in this video, you'll hear me explain this as of last December:
