That's a deep question. There's a long answer relating to the fact that man has gone astray, and is trying to control everything, and therefore we have bills due when there are no bills due by God, only by man enforcing them upon his fellow man.

But, the shorter answer is:
God provides things, which enable Him to work through us. We have arms, legs, a society, a universe, and within that system He provides everything so we can persist.

In addition, we all must realize that this world is a testing grounds, a proving grounds. We are given opportunities and things happen to us and we prove to ourselves, to God, to all of creation, how we will respond. This world is not our eternal home, but it is a place and a way for us to know truly the kind of men we are. When given the propensity toward sin in our flesh, and a powerful enemy who is tempting us to sin continuously, will we follow God? Will we pursue Him instead of personal lusts, worldly endeavors, sinful things?

It comes down to a very simple reality:
God has told us what to do.
He's made it very, very clear.
Easily accessible.
He now looks to see how we will respond knowing these things.
Knowing that He is there, what He wants us to do, and what the price is if we don't.

Once our focus is taken off this world and the things of this world, realizing that all we do here passes away anyway, then we are freed from the bands which kept our minds enslaved. And once freed, we begin to look and think with God's focus, which means eternally, and we begin to realize, by His guidance within us, that there is a grander mission for the day-to-day than anything we see before us. It is in service to God, which means His interests are now our interests: people.

It was for people God came. You, me, your neighbor, friends, everyone. He came to save us so that we would have the opportunity to thrive unendingly. And what you see before you in this world is not going to last, is a way for God to test you, and to prove to all the type of man you are, as He created you to be, and as you are willing to follow.

Knowing this changes everything.
