Having two databases with the same name can get tricky, if ever you have them both open at the same time. If a table in one database has a different structure than the same named table in the other, opening a view based on the first database can get you the 'Base table fields have changed...' error. This tells me that internally, VFP only uses the name of the database to distinguish betwixt them.
>Not to mention that, according to Menachem Bazian, if you have the same named tables open in different physical databases with the same name, VFP gets confused on some tableupdates and the like.
