>I apologize for making that point too strongly. It was just that you frequently bring Dabo into the discussion without saying before now (as far as I remember) that you have contributed code to it. It's kind of like Thierry and FoxInCloud. I don't have a problem with him touting its virtues -- obviously he believes in it -- the connection should just be disclosed IMO. It's not like me saying "Evernote is a good product, you might want to check it out."

No worries. And you're right too. As many of you guys, I got started with python when I realized Fox was dead and had to find a replacement. I did get excited when I found python and Dabo. At first I believed it was going sway the rest of the VFP'ers and did express my beliefs on the forum several times. It wasn't until later did I realize that most of the guys were concerned about leaving MS (but the times are a changing), and the lack of the IDE (there were other reasons too).
But I don't see Dabo as a failure. I've made lot's of money using it. And it has been such a powerful tool. But it's nothing but a tool and with recent mobile devices expanding I see Dabo not being the solution. So I'm looking very hard for a solution that I like.
I see WinDev as a possible.
I like the idea of Lianja (uses VFP, python and Javascript for coding).
I like LiveCode too - it recently went open source.
We have a specialize project coming up and it looks like we may use appcelerator to write it. But I really don't want too. It would be better if I had some cross platform solution to use rather than one that only works with mobile devices.
