Thank you for the message and the site! Perhaps some people will get the message. I hope that will be the case.

>Here is a small message about the general purpose of this site in regards to posting questions and how we should all perceive such action.
>
>We should all remember that this site lives because people are posting questions. Without questions, even if everyone would use the search to find answers, it would not work for several reasons such as given the impression this site has no trafic and such.
>
>The goal of posting questions here is to build a knowledge base. And, we have a great one. As for me, I sometimes post some questions that someone can come up with an easy answer and sometimes I will post some very difficult questions. No matter the degree on the perception we have about each message, the prime goal is to build a knowledge base and benefit and provide help when possible. I, for one, post here before going at Google. So, sometimes, even before I had the chance to analyze the Google result, someone already provided the answer here. And, this is how I like it. If I would receive a reply saying "Well, why don't you Google it", then, what's the point of this site. It is a question some members should ask themselves here. We have a great site and the most useless answer someone can provide is to forward someone to do a search on another site. I sometime forward someone to another site but with a link which contains valuable content such as an article, a FAQ or else which could lead to an answer. But, forwarding to a search engine, pointless. I do not know how much some of you may agree with this but this site lives because of what we share here. So, as I said, in my case, I post here before going elsewhere. I usually allow a certain period of time because here, once started, once a reply has been received we can elaborate on a topic and obtain some very interesting point of views from various individuals. After I have switched to something else, if I really need to get an answer or try to find one which is very urgent for me, I will use Google. But, I try to concentrate on this engine.

>Those who renew their subscriptions have been here since a very long time. Some for 10 other for 15 years. I would say they see it like that as well. Otherwise, why paying for something if the prime goal is to read messages with pointless content.
>
>There is also no specific level of questions required to use this site. Everyone should be allowed to ask a question no matter if it's perceived as low level or not. Sometimes, I post questions that some may think: "Why is he posting that question. It seems easy to answer.". Well, I always double check on everything, when time permits. It's like the movie "Armageddon", "At Nasa, we never take chances. We always double up on everything.". So, while I may have in place an already working solution, I may retro back to double check if my implementation is the best one, for example.

>As far as those who write behind the lines, I would like that we each consider that when we write a message. Even if no name is mentioned, sometimes, no matter what the poster can say to justify otherwise, to me, it is clear that something is intended to someone and I/we just don't like that. I believe we should respect each other here. We have a great community and I like this place to remain easy, fun and calm to use with a high level of respect to other members.
