I am attempting to estimate how the size of the DBF will change if I add some fields. Suppose I want to add 3 fields to a table that has approximately 400,000 records:
Field1 N 3,0
Field2 L 1
Field3 N 12,2

Would it be correct to estimate that he DBF file will increase by 400000 x 16=6,400,000 (6.4MB)? (16 being the sum of new fields).
And also, would be correct to assume that the size of FPT file will not change at all?
