I think the way media handled the Martin-Zimmerman case created so much racial polarization in this country that it will take many years to undo, if ever. I can imagine the lawyers for the three thugs explaining to the jury that the “the incident of the racial slur by Riley Cooper hurt these boys so much and that brought about such anger.”
