They have gotten so cheap it doesn't even cost much to do so, certainly not compared to the cost in wasted time etc. when they aren't working right.

here, we bought it in 2007 as it was just released and we paid like 350 bucks for it) Mine I bought it less than a year later, a Razer Lycosa which still works great and I use it a lot and not in a kindly way, I would only change it for I read the new Razer Black Widow Ultimate is fantastic, for my daughter I bought an AlienWare TactX, but this is brand new so I can't say if it is good or not, but I rather have either my wife's or mine, the construction details are much better on those, specially mine :)

You may have a point. My current one is from Dynex, whoever they are, and was bought strictly on price.
Wives are born to be dismayed ;-) I think you have been married quite a while, so congratulations. Earlier today I sent a note of congratulations to the longest married couple I know. 33 years. I met them shortly after they met each other. (So of course I take full credit, LOL). Relationships come and go at that age but I knew right away that they would be together for the long haul. He is a pretty well known journalist and she has a PhD in chemistry. They have about five brains between them. She is in a very specialized field, oil additives, and moved to California two years ago because there were no jobs left in Chicago in her specialty. He visits her for a three day weekend every other weekend, taking the redeye back to Chicago and going straight to work. Their flame still burns. It's beautiful.
Mike note to self: buy a proper keyboard.
