I swore by Logitech's mice for years, but now it's gotten to the point where I don't trust whatever they made after about 2010. Before that, any of their mice would endure at least two years, some almost four, and what would go off would be one of the buttons or (in one case) the wheel.
Nowadays, I'm just happy with a 6€ keyboard + mouse combo from Genius, a brand known only in these parts. They're actually quite good, I used their mice in the nineties, and now have two sets of speakers of the same brand as well. Cheap but rock solid. OK, the freebie mouse is a bit wobbly with the wheel (sometimes it scrolls two notches down, one up, then two more down...).
