Don't do it. Let the users select the display they require, Windows has a good utility to do so.
Just design your application in such a way it is good to be seen at different settings, e.g. if you would also like to have your application to be used with a 800x600 and you developped in 1024x768 you better not to put objects over the total screen as they may gone 'lost'
