>>Hi,

>>Can the local environment change the way the same report is converted to PDF via XFRX? I have a customer that runs my app (the same VFP 9 application) in 3 different locations. They told me that one of the reports converted to PDF (purchase order) has different left margin in different sites? I have not verified it myself. But, if they are correct, what in the local environment could be changing the margin of this report when saved in PDF?

I'd chalk it up to some differences on how text is being rendered on different devices -- likely connected to how fonts are handled. Often resizing the report object such as the text boxes or labels (sometimes resizing it by one pixel on the report editor is enough) will sometimes "fix" this problem. Sometimes options such as "Use Printer Fonts" option will change the behavior as it might force usage of built-in printer fonts (if available) rather than TrueType -- this will certainly cause subtle differences in the output.

In this case (this thread) no physical printing is done. All that is done is report being converted to PDF (using XFRX) and the result is slightly different when done by different customers. I will have to dig into the XFRX documentation to see if the printer driver (even though physical printing is not done) affects the outcome.
Thank you.
