"La vengeance est un plat qui se mange froid."

Typically our first instinct (usually a wrong one) is to lash out of the perceived perpetrators.

We don't know all the facts here, and there will be time enough for vengeance after the facts have been disclosed.

That said, I'm generally against killing people, whatever the reason, but I think that we need to have some way of getting dangerous, repetitive criminals out of here permanently without high costs to the rest of us.
Here's a candidate:
Recently a guy weighing over 250 did a home invasion in NJ and clubbed, kicked and tossed a young mother around like a rag doll in front of her kids.
The family had a camera in the room and there's no doubt who did it.
They caught the guy. He's is in his late 30's and has a history of repetitive violence and crime going back to his early teens. He's been in and out of prison consistently.
He didn't kill anyone, but that's an accident. The way he beat her, he showed no regard for her life.

I'd like to have a classification called "Too dangerous to walk around" for people like him.
After a cooling off period to be sure of the facts and to let the blood settle, if no one can come up with a convincing argument, I'd want him put to sleep.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
