As I read it, they just gave up.
Is the rest of the world offended by the people who gave up, or by the people who got them to give up?
And.. who is the rest of the world? China? Russia? India?
Those 3 countries account for a whole lot of land mass and billions of people.
Are they offended?

Frankly, I'm not impressed by people who start a movement and then take their marbles home because the other guy isn't playing fair.
