I did consider that one as well, but for $5 bucks I just chose to be able to get help if there is an issue from the company who sales it. At least it makes Windows 8 more usable for me and probably everyone who use something like this or a shell like you mentioned. You have to wonder if Microsoft even bothered to "ask the man on the street" what they thought about Windwos 8 before it shipped.
