Needing a two goal victory to advance, Barbados found themselves up 2–1 with three minutes left in regulation time. After Grenada realised what had happened, they in turn tried to score against their own net while Barbados defended both goals for the final three minutes of the match.[8] Barbados won the game in extra time and advanced to the next round.

>>>Nah, that's just unsportsmanlike behaviour, far too common in footy and many other sports.
>>
>>What's your primary goal? To win the match or to win the event? In my mind it's to win the event and this is what they needed to do to enhance their chances of winning the event. Unless you break the rules (point me to a rule which says you can't score an own goal) then whatever you do to maximize your chances is not unsportsmanlike.
>>
>>Granted, they made a huge mistake by actually scoring their second goal. They should have played for a 0-0 tie from the beginning hoping to win in overtime. Would you have considered that unsportsmanlike. If not, what's the difference?
>>
>>Don't blame a team for doing its best to win an event. Blame the rule makers for creating a situation where it is actually in a team's best interest to do this.

Yes my least favourite sporting activity is time wasting.Like in cricket when they come on after a delay due to rain then stop for drinks after about 30 minutes
