We did something similar by adding 2 memo fields to our report cursor. The first we filled with Children - listed each child with a CHR(13) after it. The second we filled with Pets the same way.
In the report we printed the 2 memo fields side by side, marked the stretch-with-overflow so the fields would show all data listed and let it print.
It's been working for over a year now with no problems.
