http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mono_%28software%29), and many free alternatives for all of their software products. Once MS is out of the way, companies will VERY QUICKLY ramp up product development and bug fixes on free software alternatives because they have no choice.

I can still live with Visual FoxPro. But for future development I will look to non-proprietary development tools as much as possible.
I've seen the way MS treated the Fox and that is not an experience I want to repeat. They won't pull the plug on .net but they kinda screwed many developers by deciding Silverlight was not hip anymore. What is the next? I don't know and I don't care I'll play with tools like Javascript, Python, Html, CSS...
